Thursday Night Football in Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season is a showdown in the AFC North between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.

It has all gone wrong for the Bengals since Joe Burrow suffered a foot injury that will sideline him for at least three months–and probably for the entire season, as there won’t be any point in bringing him back since Cincinnati (2-4) will be well out of contention at that point. Backup QB Jake Browning was so bad as Burrow’s replacement that Cincy traded for 40-year-old Joe Flacco from Cleveland. Although the Bengals were relatively competitive in a 27-18 setback at Green Bay last weekend, Flacco averaged a mere 4.9 yards per pass attempt and Cincinnati rushed for only 55 yards.
Things don’t figure to improve against a Steelers defense that is tied for second in the NFL with 20 sacks. In five games this year (four with Cleveland), Flacco has thrown more interceptions (six) than touchdowns (four) and is completing only 59.4 percent of his pass attempts. Cincinnati’s rushing attack has also been anemic. Chase Brown is averaging a dreadful 2.7 yards per carry, gaining only 202 yards on 74 carries while scoring just just one touchdown. As for the Steelers’ offense, Aaron Rodgers has been solid so far in 2025–but at 41 years old his MVP-winning days are far, far behind him.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals best player prop bet: Jaylen Warren Over 48.5 rushing yards (-114)
There is no denying that Warren has underwhelmed so far this season, but he missed Week 4 due to a minor knee injury and then his whole team was off in Week 5. A bunch of rest seemed to have done him him some good, as Warren came back and rushed for 52 yards on just 11 attempts (4.7 average) against the Browns in Week 6.
The former Oklahoma State standout figures to see a larger volume on Thursday Night Football, as the likely game script calls for Pittsburgh to grab a quick lead and then work the clock the rest of the way. That’s not to say that Rodgers won’t sling the ball around a fair amount, but the Steelers are a run-first squad–and that should certainly remain the case in this one. The Bengals are No. 28 in the NFL against the run, giving 135.7 yards per contest.
