  1. This is the third grand slam in a row you have Tsitsi taking out either Rafa or Nole. Last 2 you had him beating Nole. I was very sceptical about those picks at USO and RG.
Oh and PCB won’t beat Dom.

  2. Ricky’s pick:
    Semifinals
Djokovic over Carreno Busta in 4
    Medvedev over Tsitsipas in 4

    Final
    Medvedev over Djokovic in 4

    We shall see.

    Steve Tignor’s pick:
Semifinals: Djokovic d. Thiem; Medvedev d. Nadal

    FINAL: DJOKOVIC D. MEDVEDEV

    • I have the same picks at Tignor. This is probably not a good sign, because while Tignor is a lovely writer, he is a VERY poor prognosticator.

  3. I also doubt whether PCB can take out Thiem….or even Dtrov….but I do like Tpas to win that quarter….and I like Rublev to beat Med in their quarter.

    • I dunno. Thiem didn’t look good in the ATP Cup. He may be troubled by the increased court speed, much faster this year than last year, they say. Rafa may also have problems with it, especially if his back is still iffy.

If Djokovic has to play a bunch of 5 setters he could go down in the final.

  4. This is not your regular AO. Whatever made Djokovic so successful before is probably not that favourable this year.
I expect Medvedev to be a flop, I’m not sure why.
    Zverev beats Djokovic.
Thiem and Nadal to play the final, if they are both healthy. The more rested one to win it.

  5. Rafa said the court is the fastest he has ever played on at the AO. Says he doesn’t dislike that but he has to serve well because it will be hard to break serve.
    Via Genny..

    • Apparently the stiff muscle in the lower back started 3 days before the exho with Dom but he didn’t want to cancel!!😠😠

      • @amy

Thanks for the updates. Sounds like Rafa has A Plan. He’ll do his best, as always, and that’ll be good enough for him so it’ll certainly be good enough for me!

  6. Rafa loves having a pity party when he knows he has no chance of winning the title so he uses injury as an excuse if he loses but for some reason during clay season he is miraculously healed no excuse πŸ˜‚ he makes less excuse during the French Open and after clay season… you guessed it πŸ‘ the excuse continues.

Don’t get it twisted I like Rafa and yeah some of his injuries are legit but not all πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and he is not the only player that makes excuses or uses injury as an excuse after a loss.

  8. Dear AM:At last I’ve caught up with you on Jalep’s challenge. Shame she’s not playing. You and I have picked the same winners for both…..spooky! πŸ˜‰
Looks as if Sinner, in contrast to almost everyone else, has played too much tennis! Picked him to go quite deep, oh well. So difficult to predict AO in these horrible times. Hope you are OK.

    • Hey hey hey M!…Great to hear from u!πŸ˜€πŸ‘‹..hehe…
Yeahhh!…we picked the same winner M!….tho i picked Novak over Thiem in semis!..haha…it’s very interesting to see who will come out on top M!…and Thiem certainly has the ability to outlast Novak too!…and the trust we put on sinner!..to QF huh?hehe..urgh!..how many points we’re gonna lose there??

      Anyway,really missed RC!..here & TDC..Hope she will come back soon..Nice chatting with u back M!❀

  9. Hi Sanju! Medvedev and Osaka.
Thanks Cheryl, I think you jinxed Darling Dom….I tried to anti jinx him!
Andy, Marin, Kei, Stan, Roger even, this year has taken its toll.
