One month following their epic French Open final, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will battle for another Grand Slam title–this time in the Wimbledon championship match on Sunday afternoon.
Alcaraz and Sinner won their semifinal matches on Friday in much, much different fashion. The Spaniard opened with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(6) over Taylor Fritz, who led 6-4 in the fourth-set tiebreaker. A highly anticipated showdown between Sinner and Novak Djokovic was underwhelming by comparison, in part due to the top-ranked Italian’s impressive level but mainly because Djokovic was less than 100 percent. The No. 1 seed rolled 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
In the recent Roland Garros final, Alcaraz triumphed 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(10-2) from triple-championship point down. Hailed as one of the greatest–and certainly one of the most dramatic–matches of all time, it lasted five hours and 29 minutes.
“It’s a huge honor for me to once again share the court with Carlos,” Sinner said after beating Djokovic. “We always push each other to the limit. Hopefully it’s gonna be a good match like the last one. I don’t know if it can be better, because I don’t think that it’s possible.”
Alcaraz is seeking a third consecutive Wimbledon title; Sinner is playing in the final at the All-England Club for the first time in his career.

Sinner in 4. Grass doesn’t allow Alcaraz to defend against Jannik’s sheer consistent power from the baseline as effectively as on other surfaces. I also think grass bolsters Sinner’s service advantage, especially on 2nd serves. Alcaraz has largely taken the lead in this budding rivalry by winning on the margins, but he won’t be able to get away it on the lawns of the All England Club come Sunday.
Agassi was probably my all time favourite player, and now Ive heard him commentating, that has gone up even more .
Querrey I havent heard, Ryan Harrison is surprisingly good too.
