  2. I noticed from the highlights that Rafa’s movement seemed to be very good. It appears that the foot must be better. He just seemed very quick on the court and quite comfortable. He won easily and I am sure that he was pleaded to actually get on the court for a match. He needs to get his feet under him to adjust to this surface.

    I just thought that his movement was extremely good

  4. Gill Gross in his most recent Monday Match Analysis on YouTube did Wimbledon picks. He says Rafa to win! Only analyst I’ve seen that has but Gill is one of the best.

  6. Rafa has withdrawn from Montreal because of discomfort with the abdominal injury.
    The USO is only 3 weeks away.😪
    Am praying he is well enough to play….

    • The downside is Rafa is out of Montreal.
      The upside may be that he doesn’t have to pull out of the USO after a stellar performance at Montreal and Cincy. When I saw pics of him serving again recently I was feeling nervous the injury would recur. There have been so many injuries this year!
      The most important thing is the USO. If he can’t play Montreal and Cincy but is fit for the USO then so be it. He can still win without playing a warm up tournament. 🙏🙏🙏

  7. We can just put to rest the idea of Novak playing at the USO. The decision was made already that the tournament is going to honor the regulations of the government. You must be vaccinated to play.

  9. Yes, i heard about Rafa’s injury. I am so disappointed to hear about that but I hope he can recuperate in time. I am not worried about Novak playing USO…….it will be a miracle if he does! Don’t care about any of that, once Rafa plays that’s all that matters. #noRafanotennis

    And I am planning to go to the USO too! So I really need to know what is going on. Was planning to buy plane ticket on the weekend, Sigh!

    • It’s surely very unlikely that if Rafa rests the injury he won’t be able to play the USO with 3 weeks to go Mona!
      For that reason I hope he doesn’t play Cincy which would surely be risky. I know that would be less than ideal preparation but the most important thing is his being able to play in New York.
      I still believe he can win. He’s on a 19 match winning streak in slams and that will really help him.

      • For my part I want him to play the USO even if he still has issues. He can’t miss another slam and there are months before the next one. This isn’t like the situation at wimby.

    I came over to the Rafa forum like you suggested. Just to let you know I am okay now. The worst is over. It’s not easy getting older. Things happen. But I am doing really well. Even Rafa has his issues. He is so injury prone. But I am healthy now and feeling very good. That is all I will say about it. It’s private.

    I just hope that Rafa can play at the USO. The last slam of the year. I worried that this thing might take a little longer to heal. That is my focus now. Hoping that Rafa can play at the USO.

    • Nny, I am very very glad to know you are better. Thank God for that!
      I am pretty desperate to see Rafa play the USO. He hasn’t played since 2019! With 3 weeks to go I am hopeful he can do it but I will be very very nervous if he plays Cincy in only a weeks time. That would seem exceptionally risky if he had discomfort only a week before.
      I know that his preparation will be less than ideal but if he can win AO after 6 months out he can win the USO on a 19 match winning streak in slams!

Novak will likely play at uso. cdc has issued latest guidance where it has dropped 6 ft distance ,quarantine for ppl with covid n has said it will review international travel entry in line with latest guidance on their web page . Talk about luck n timing. He said he will wait for good news from USA, he manifested it and here it is.

    On rafa…has he healed completely? He is in Cincinnati I know but has he started serving full speed

    • Maybe, re dropping the vaccine requirement for foreigners to get a visa. The new guidelines are mainly so it’s easier for kids to attend school. There’s no connection but if the CDC thinks it’s no longer necessary, they may drop it. I don’t really care one way or the other.

  19. I just read that Rafa said he still has pain when he serves. This makes me very nervous! I was nervous about him playing cincy before and started to relax but now I am worried all over again.😕😕🙁🙁

  20. Signs of Old Age?

    I’ve been enjoying the little practice vids and pix of Rafa in Cincy…but I find myself looking forward more to the coming baby than the coming matches. Maybe it’s because my grandkids are grown but have not yet reproduced? So I need a virtual grandbaby?

    I did enjoy the match between Andy and Stan yesterday. Seemed kind of like old times. Sigh.
