I don’t know anything about the results of the tests sanju but I assume they must be ok or he probably wouldn’t have been practising yesterday. That’s why I said I was reassured.
Rafa has arrived in New York! Am sure Moya will be there shortly; he is always with Rafa at the USO.
The chances of Novax playing are incredibly remote! The draw is on Thursday so they would have to suddenly change the travel rules by Thursday and there is zero evidence this is going to happen. USTA haven’t asked the government for permission for him to enter the country.
I hope Coric wins today because if he does he will be seeded. Otherwise Rafa could draw him first round!
I don’t like Tsitsi now…
Tsitsi is very close contender for no 1. If he wins Cincy he will be just 600 points behind rafa in the race
Yes though i like tsitsi, i want coric to win he needs to be seeded n yes tsitsi needs a big gap behind rafa in race as rafa cannot n will not play much n tsitsi will keep playing hordes .
I am still expecting Novak to play..he has a full 8 days for usa to reverse decision n i think they will this week. He can anyway not withdraw before the draw n have a grace period of 4 days more.
Sanju, USTA have said that unless the travel guidance is changed by Thursday when the draw is made he can’t play. I don’t know why you are so determined to believe he is playing! Maybe it will happen but it’s unlikely. There are only 3 and a half days left.

I just read usta saying they willfollow rules and not seek any exemption for any player ..i did not read anything on Thursday draw date deadline .i don’t think any tourney can drop a player till he withdraws
I don’t know Amy.. I think it’s his good luck…n countries drop restrictions n say all restrictions lifted asap..it’s not as if they say after a certain date

I heard the news and of course I knew here would be buzzing about the brand new baby boy!!! I can only imagine the joy on Rafa’s face!!! Rafa Nadal is a dad!!!
Congratulations to the couple and i wish them all the happiness in the world! Glad too that the baby is healthy, even though a preemie, but it’s all good!! Looking forward to seeing the pics!!

Rafa lucked out as he is in with Ruud, FAA and Fritz. I was hoping he got Rublev rather than FAA but he has been very lucky otherwise. Absolutely ecstatic he isn’t playing Novak!!!
I have zero expectations though!
He ought to beat Ruud and Fritz but I don’t think he will beat FAA. Could easily lose all 3 though given how terrible he was at Paris.
I don’t like him playing Fritz because he is a curse regarding injury!!

So apparently Rafa is out of Barcelona. Mixed reports but it seems his team briefed a Spanish newspaper saying he had good and bad days which, after all this time, doesn’t sound good to me. Many press reports suggest he is playing Madrid but the main one from this Spanish newspaper say he most likely won’t play in Madrid.
Scary times for Rafa fans.
Although if he has problems still he is of course absolutely right to leave it as long as possible.
But good and bad days sounds very worrying to me.
Rafa has pulled out of Madrid saying the injury still hasn’t healed. This is not altogether surprising but very worrying. It sounds like he won’t be playing Rome either.
Is he even going to play RG?

It’s now what 3 months since the injury began with no end in sight..
There was a quote from Toni yesterday saying he had spoken to Rafa and Rafa had said he won’t come back until he is 100%. That he wasn’t right for AO.
Yes I agree with that but why the hell did he play Bercy, wtf, and go on that ridiculous tour with Ruud ? Everyone said they played way too much and Ruud admitted it harmed him.
I was so annoyed with Rafa when he played in that period when it would have made way more sense to shut down his season.
Rafa said they changed the treatment regime a few days ago. That doesn’t sound great!!
Despite everything I have been fantasizing about Rafa winning RG and having a shot at wimby.
I have a lot of doubts now. He is going to presumably fall out of the top 16 by RG. That means he could meet Novak or Alcaraz in the third round. How on earth could be beat a top class in form player after only 2 matches having been out for 4 months? I don’t think anyone can do that however great they are. Not Novak at the AO, not Fed at wimby, not Rafa at RG. It’s just not physically possible because of levels of fitness and no competitive play.
The commies have mostly been saying up to now that Rafa is still the fave for RG because of his extraordinary record.
I reckon they will be changing their tune now. Just so many uncertainties and variables. It’s not even clear Rafa will be fit by then and clay is the most physically demanding of all the surfaces.
It’s over…totally similar to Fed..he kept withdrawing tourney after tourney n never returned .every great player exits forcibly by injury ..
Anyway rem I had said looks like both my favs rafa n Steffi will end with 22..maybe it will be true…unless God wants some miracle for rafa
6 to 8 weeks was March 15…it’s April 20..what did they do for 4 weeks to start a new treatment now…
I think thw foot injections to numb the foot for RG22 cost him too dearly…his ab broke twice plus the leg..RG22 was too costly I think…
Novak fans for sure n maybe Novak must be jumping ..the slam race is now his ..
Anyway if rafa withdraws ,Novak will stop too very soon..rafa was the one motivating him
