So is this the last year .rafa has always said that he will not play a full tour once he has his family. Me thinks this may be last year or max maybe next year. Nothing will be perfect than winning wimby to close it. Thank God he won 22 this year ..
Rafa has talked about playing the OG in 2024 in Paris. First time Olympic tennis will be played on clay as far as I know.
Sanju, rafa will not retire this year or next, so stop worrying about that. Rafa said he plans to play the Olympics in 2024 because it will be on clay which is something he has always wanted for the Olympics. So that should tell you that atleast until afta 2024 he won’t retire provided that his foot and fitness holds up. Having a child will not make him retire regardless of what he said in the past, things have changed.

I already saw that. With no source it’s very unreliable. It might be coming from that Not Rafa Nadal twitter. He claims on there there is a press conference with no source.
As I said, I checked around 10 big tennis journalists and no one has referenced it which is pretty odd. Am sceptical right now. We have had false stories before.

So just to clarify. Yes there is a press conference on Friday. The journalist says Rafa is going to clarify regarding paternity and wimby then.
In the TVE News, they said after the presentation this morning when he was given the Balaeric Tribute Award in Palma, Rafa said he will make an official statement on Friday but his goal is to head for London on Monday.
