Serena over home favorite Kiki Mladenovic.
Mladenovic plays her best tennis in team events: Fed Cup/IPTL. Kiki Mladenovic absolutely sparkled in her last match for the happy fans. She’ll have Chatrier eager to cheer her – but, I don’t think it’ll be enough…
Bacsinszky over another home fave, Parmentier.
Suarez-Navarro over Cibulkova. I picked Cibby but that was when I thought Carla was nursing an injury.
Putintseva over Knapp in a close one.
Ivanovic over Svitolina (or the other way around).
Venus over Cornet. Go VEE…
Bertens over Kasatkina — match of the day, maybe. Both have had a stellar 2016: Daria is ranked #23 in the race to Singapore and Kiki #35. But this is Daria’s first FO main draw and it’s Kiki’s 3rd FO round of 16. Going with the 24 yr. old, Kiki, over teenager, Daria.
Keys over Puig. Keys should win but Puig is an intense competitor.

Mugu battles past Kiznetspva in two sets after serving for the match I think it was five times.
garbine was very impressive i thought…wouldn’t be surprised if she were to win the whole thing.
Muguruza doesn’t play until Wednesday but I should think she’ll be able to end Shelby Rogers’ dream run.

#9 Bacsinszky v #58 Bertens will be interesting. Bertens is another surprise. But this one really could go either way, only a slight edge to Bacsinszky – just have to watch!

Should think Muguruza wins but Rogers is up a break in the first set.
Also favor Stosur to win but geez…Pironkova.

Bertens/Bacsinsky was the WTA match I was hoping to watch. Kiki hits the ball hard and can serve well. Timea uses guile and doesn’t give up.
They are showing this match on NBC. I guess they are covering it live. I wonder if they will go back and show the men’s semifinals. Most likely the tennis channel will replay them.
I don’t even know why the network bothers to show a few hours of coverage. I wish the ESPN was televising RG.

Kiki played well for having an injured left calf. Serena did what she needed and won. Garbine dominated Sam Stosur.
