  1. Surprised Ricky you picked Rafa to reach the final. I thought you will bump him out in second round :-(..however Rafa getting through till qtrs all in straights is too good to be true

  2. Some of you are very funny
The seeding system has been in place for how long?
So why the complaints all of a sudden
Im really surprised at Rafa fans
    They are really funny

    • Yeah, imagine if Fed got Nick second round. Then there would be silence. Luck of the draw guys. Anderson is the four seed for crying out loud why don’t you complain about that? 😂 Actually I think that’s awesome though good for the big guy

      • I think both of you on the wrong thread, this is for tournament predictions!

Where’s the complaints here? I didnt read any.

        • He was referring to complaints on the other thread. By the way I’m mostly clowning around here, I understand the frustration with Rafa’s draw. He got really unlucky this tournament.

          • He deserves a bit of luck, this time , with no roof issue.

Federer due some luck as well, maybe there’ll be a roof to close this time if weather is really bad as it was at RG.

      • I like Anderson a lot too – he’s definitely a good guy and a hard worker, but he really has not earned that #4 spot, as you know, which means Theim, another good guy/hard worker got shafted. It’s another instance of why Wimbledon’s seeding system does not work. Oddly, it wasn’t Rafa’s #3 seed per se that hurt him, it was seriously bad luck with the draw.

  3. I doubt Stan could go as far as the SF. If Rafa could beat Fed in the SF, I think he’ll beat Djoko in the final.

If there’s a Fedal SF, and Rafa could win, that means he’s playing well. Rafa had all his chances in the fifth set in last year’s SF; if only its played outdoors, I bet Djoko won’t be able to save so many BPs, because Djoko’s serves could be affected by the wind in outdoor conditions.

Unless it’s raining during the final, I think playing in outdoor conditions, Rafa can beat Djoko.

  4. If I were to choose Rafa’ s draw I would say: anyone but that crazy talented brat Kyrgios…huh… 🙁
But, Rafa is filled with confidence..,and healthy…and playing well, so why not? He will fight till the end!

    Vamos Champ!

  5. Nadal has just about the most difficult GS draw I’ve ever seen. Fed and Novak, pretty easy, and I expect to see them in the final.

  6. Rafa lost both his exhibition matches. What do we read into that ? How was he last year, did he lose then too ?

I think weather is good till Thursday is what I read .Amy ?

    • He also lost both last year, to Pouille and Gasquet? I think. Anyway, Rafa didn’t want to push himself too hard in exho matches, had to be careful not to get injured on slippery grass.

I think he’ll play better at Wimbledon real matches.

    • Most weather forecasts here have mostly sunny dry conditions for the whole fortnight sanju! Perfect for Rafa if he can get into the second week!

  7. The only obvious query is I doubt Nadal will beat Fed on grass. In 2008, Nadal was young and played one of the best matches of his career and Federer was struggling with Nadal’s forehand to his backhand. Federer’s ability to deal with that has improved remarkably over the past few years, so much so he now has a dominant record over Nadal on anything other than clay.

    • All of it happened in 2017..has it happened after that…lot was made of how feds improved bh will counter even Rafa on clay .we saw how that panned out .he lost in straights …fed may very well beat Rafa but it’s wrong to go just by 2017 results…if Rafa reaches semis he will be raring to go n don’t forget it’s all mental here..fed will be one with pressure as it’s his turf n Rafa is chasing his slam record ..the intangibles will play a big role..

      • I agree with Sanju.

Fed’s BH was good in 2017, I haven’t seen that BH since. On grass, Rafa won’t be attacking Fed’s BH anyway, but would be hitting to both wings. Rafa’s BH is very impressive these days, that may help him a bit.

  8. Ricky, who are your picks now that Coric is out of Wimbledon? Berretini is now in Coric’s spot (can face Fed in 4R) and Struff is now in Berretini’s old spot vs Albot
