I just had a look at Anderson v Brooksby. Close match, Brooksby can win, but I would probably feel more confident on Anderson. I don’t think he’s too far away from his prior solid form, and his mental toughness will probably be too much for a first-time finalist, especially after defeating the number one seed. However, that was a tough 3-setter. How much more does Anderson have left in the tank against a younger and fresher opponent? Not a match I would want to bet big on, all things considered.
Well done Ricky. Good picks.
I like Lajovic in that one.
Looks like Shapovalov is doing his thing.
Only 1 bet for me today. Djere ML @ 1.45
Like yesterday, most of today’s matches can go either way. Even Kopriva is a chance of upsetting Ruud.
Ruud is getting tired. Betting on him, especially the 2-0 is taking on a lot of risk.
Wow did not expect Chardy pick, can you tell why you pick him? Just because h2h? I’m leaning Karatsev in 3.
Ricky picked Chardy and I was considering the times they have met. Also, Chardy is playing quite well I’d say better than ever. His serve and forehand are his weapons, he has a reasonable BH, he is a great all-court player in his old age and I simply agree with what Ricky wrote on a match preview page here: “Karatsev and Chardy also squared off in the Wimbledon first round will now be going head-to-head for the third time in their careers. Chardy is sweeping the head-to-head series 2-0 and is 5-0 in total sets following his 7-6(4), 7-6(6), 6-3 success at the championships. The Frenchman also cruised 6-4, 6-0 in 2019 Shanghai qualifying.”
It could be wrong. I am wrong more than right these days.
Ah my bad I totally forgot that Match Previews page. That makes sense then, we will see 🙂
Khachanov and Carreno Busta are both flying atm. Medvedev has been so-so, so this is a risky match for him.
Carreno Busta is in the zone and dictating play too. No one would want to play him right now.
Khachanov and PCB can both give Djokovic trouble also.
Nishikori, Zverev, Khachanov and PCB can also cause Djokovic some problems.
Zverev can and will take sets off him and maybe beat him. Zverev playing with a calm, confident mind is a bit like Delpo.
Kei is too small, PCB is not his best on HC, but silent K is another matter right now. Silent K has gone back to sticking with his natural game, pounding the ball, and painting the lines with his forehand. That is the Khachanov that won Bercy. He’s been sorted and excepts the process. Rublev is still insecure after losing to Tsitsipas at Monte Carlo. I hope he will recover and learn how to win again. Medvedev, LOL, he is still my favorite of the three Russians. But I remember being crazy about Paire. Medvedev could go that way too. Meddy thinks deeply and is philosophic in his rants. It’s amusing and he speaks the truth.
I don’t require a response from an anon.
Accepts the process not excepts. Going back to bed. My brain is not up to posting but I was lured in.
Medvedev is exhausted and its only 4:2 first set
This Khachanov can cause nightmares for Djokovic. He’s definitely a worthy finalist.
Djokovic played like the greatest of all time for the first set, but the margins are still small, and the younger players have more stamina.
The younger players don’t have to perform at Djokovic’s peak level; they just have to hang in there long enough.
Hanging in there will be tougher in best of 5. Rafa will beat any of them if he has returned to his confident self by US Open. I believe in Rafa’s skills and mind.
Rc..rafa is not the fav for uso this year 🙂
Sorry, Sanju 😀
Which is something Zverev has proven to be quite good at over the years.
I still don’t understand why are ppl so sure Djokovic will win max slams. How is everyone so sure ..what if he wins 0 from here.He may win 5 more too but there is a chance he may win 0 too . Everyone is just writing off rafa thinking he can max snatch one .
What is rafa comes roaring next year back ? I know age is not on his side but it’s neither on djokos side
N yes zverev needs to be avoided in the qtrs 🙂 n maybe in the half of the draw itself
https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.timesofindia.com/sports/tokyo-olympics/zverev-hails-beaten-djokovic-as-greatest-of-all-time/amp_articleshow/84891147.cms
3 setters is exactly what Djokovic wants to avoid at 34 and in these conditions.
Djokovic is gonskies; I can feel it.
I don’t think Novak has given up yet. And he won’t give up and go away, even if he loses this match. Zverev with his original confidence will beat everyone. Remember his first St. Petersburg 2016 and the draw?
Novak will admit Zverev was the better player and go back to his drawing board. US Open just got crazier.
Djokovic has jagged so many returns to nearly get the break back. Flukiest player ever.
Wow, I was able to watch, not shut it down and go back to bed.
Congratulations, Sascha!!
You are back to what I thought about you in 2016!!
Gave me chills watching that performance.😊😘
It was an awesome performance and a real milestone in his career.
Now I am fully awake and can’t wait to see how Novak will do in doubles. His partner isn’t the strongest doubles player. I’m thinking about Barty and Vesnina. Novak himself isn’t a top doubles player like Peers.
I expect Australia to win. But I could be underestimating Vesnina/Karatsev.
Also, Pavlyuchenkova/Rublev! But I have no memory for who is actually left in mixed doubles, (or what day it is).
Maybe Nole and Zverev will meet again at USO, should be a good one.
Djoko fans are now saying Olympics is just an exhibition lol ..had he won the gold it wld be a huge feather in his cap…fake to the core sone of his fans..https://mobile.twitter.com/Yolitatennis/status/1421057491291545604
Sorry rc…not you but some of his usual suspect hardcore twitter troll fans
Sanju,
It should not surprise you. This is what they do. It’s only important and a legendary achievement when he wins. Otherwise it doesn’t count.
It is not all the Novak fans. We saw some of the hardcore troll fans here recently. They came over from tennis-x.

You are generous to me, Sanju. Hope you won’t regret it. There are some posting here that would disagree with you but they are posting anonymously.
