It’s a joke. Not only has Rafa won 22 slams, he’s won the USO the most times in the last 12 years (4 times ), beating Djokovic twice and Medvedev once in the final. Rafa also won it the last time he played it in 2019.

I wouldn’t write a player like Tsitsipas off simply because he hasn’t done well at the USO in the past beacuse he’s got weapons – a great serve for a start.
Rafa was written off the USO for many years, people […]

Unfortunately, Novak knows some of those twitters personally and he’s often thanked them for their comments inspite of the fact that they continuously make the most vile accusations against Rafa.

The sample will be very small of Ricky picking Rafa to win anything off clay so it won’t tell you anything.

If the PTPA can’t help Djokovic what could PTPA members expect?

Nadal is 5:1 against Medvedev on hardcourt and in their very first match in Canada, Rafa bagled him. Just saying.

No need to worry about Fognini. He’s never beaten an all singing all dancing Rafa. Their h2h is 13:3 to Rafa and Rafa straight setted him in Australia last year.

Djokovic’s name was removed from the list, and half an hour later it was back on.
So the @usopen @Stacey_Allaster have now removed Djokovic name from the list of players at the USO even before Novak has actually even withdrawn from the event.
It's almost like they knew beforehand that he wasn't playing. You can't get much more blatant corruption then this. pic.twitter.com/4N1pM7vH3D

For the USTA to drop him they have to have proof that he won’t be there to play his first match but they can’t do that by hearsay. They should, probably, ask him since he is not yet at the venue.

I think the authorities turned a blind eye to many of the irregularities regarding Djokovic’s attempt to gain entry into Australia. He should count himself very fortunate.

Yes the draw is at noon ET, but I expect the USTA office will be open by 9 am when they can announce a withdrawal by Novak if he withdraws.

Let’s give him till 9 am ET. He may well have have withdrawn but the USTA office hasn’t announced it yet. If he doesn’t do it before the draw, then that would be beyond selfish.

Kyrgios is like a mythical great champion. He hasn’t lived up to the hype that’s surrounded him since Wimbledon 2014 (8 years!) when he beat Rafa, but people feel his greatness is waiting to come out.
His bark […]

Felix can run anyone out of town if he gets in a groove where he cuts out all UEs, but that rarely happens. Coric is one player I wouldn’t write off, he makes very few errors which and he is quick around the court […]

Ricky, I don’t think would Djokovic have been the favourite. He’s won it once in the last 6 years, he’s 1:2 h2h there against Rafa and he’s got 3 titles. Rafa has 4 titles and he’s won 2 out the last 3 times he’s […]

Abby, totally agree with you.
I don’t think the US Government’s concern is whether plays the USO or not. I’m sure they have better things to worry about.
