Jarmere Jenkins delivered a racket-smash for the ages in the first round of this week’s Drummondville Challenger. It came after he struck a forehand well long at 6-6 in the third-set tiebreaker.
Jenkins recovered to win four of the last five points to beat Philip Bester 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(8).
Was it better than Marcos Baghdatis’ performance at the 2012 Australian Open? If Bagahdatis lacked any quality, he certainly made up for it in quantity.
