Rafael Nadal is back on the practice court and says he is set to go for the upcoming U.S. hard-court swing, which is expected to include–at least for the Spaniard–Montreal, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open. Nadal has been practicing over the past few days at home in Mallorca with doubles specialist Nenad Zimonjic.
From Nadal’s Facebook page:
“The knee is the same like before,” the world No. 4 explained. “What I have to do is keep working so it will allow me to play at a higher level. If I am a little bit worse than others physically, it’s my problem.”
Meanwhile, Toni Nadal–the player’s coach and uncle–made it known that he will skip the two Masters events and leave coaching duties to Francisco Roig. That has been the standard move by the Nadal camp in recent years.
