The main things in the following order:
1) they closed the roof despite its not dark yet;
2) Rafa said he was affected by the indoor lights and had to take some time to get used to it, resulting in him losing […] -

I’m with Ricky, because outdoors with wind doesn’t favor Djoko’s style of play, esp his serve. In indoor conditions Djoko hardly missed his serve! Rafa deals better with the windy conditions than Djoko does. […]

Now then you realised that?
I was so pissed because of that, knowing the significance of that match (win) and it’s effect on the YE no.1 ranking. Had Rafa won that match, he would be YE no.1 and so he w […]

Yes VR, I’m feeling very positive about Rafa’s 2020 season. As long as he doesnt get himself injured again, I think we can expect another good or even great season from Rafa.
If Rafa continues to serve like […]

Yes vamos Rafa! Spain wins the Davis Cup again, at the end of the decade! What a way to cap a great season for Rafa – getting his fifth YE no.1 and helping Spain gets another Davis Cup! Well done Spain, […]

Rafa looks tired; all those matches during the week have taken their toll. Shapo is much younger and looks the fresher of the two. Rafa not looking good out there in the second set. He better up his level and […]

Not easy to manage so many teams and I doubt Fed and his team could do it either. LC is much easier – choose one location each year, and then getting 6 players from Europe and 6 from rest of the world and that’s […]

luckystar commented on the post, Tsitsipas outlasts Thiem to capture Nitto ATP Finals title 4 years, 12 months ago
Not going to happen. Stan, Murray and Delpo, next year they’re another year into their thirties – 35, 33 and 32 respectively – they may be blown away by Thiem, Medvedev and Sasha, their respective younger v […]

Where is the Davis Cup thread?
New format, and I’m watching so many of the top players being involved – Rafa, Djoko, Berrettini, Foggy, the French players, the Americans, the Russians minus Medvedev, the y […]

luckystar commented on the post, Nadal leaves London with year-end No. 1 ranking 5 years ago
Too late as in when it’s nearing Rafa’s career end and not at the beginning or mid way through his career. By now, Rafa is already injured everywhere, damage already done, and won’t be at his physical best to […]

luckystar commented on the post, Nadal leaves London with year-end No. 1 ranking 5 years ago
I disagree!!
On indoor surfaces it still very much depends on the court speed and bounce; I would say if its quick and low bounce adv Fed, if its slow and higher bounce adv Djoko. Djoko beats Fed many times […]

As for Rafa, I also said it before that I agreed with Moya, that the best from Rafa is yet to come, because Moya is still helping Rafa to reach his full potential. However, I find that it may be too late, with […]

Really too much from Happy!
Come on, Fed was really unbelievable against Djoko no doubt about that, but can you say that Djoko was at his best? If Fed could play that way the whole tournament?, problem is he […]

luckystar commented on the post, Nitto ATP Finals SF preview and prediction: Thiem vs. Zverev 5 years ago
No, I think it’s because he’s getting big headed these days.
I do like him for his playing style and find him quite charismatic; just hope that he learns to be humble to be more likeable (at least to me).

luckystar commented on the post, Nitto ATP Finals SF preview and prediction: Federer vs. Tsitsipas 5 years ago
Alright, what Tsitsipas said was that he was leaving something in his tank for the SF, and so he wasn’t willing to go all out and ‘die’ on the court to beat Rafa. He said he was getting close (I suppose he meant […]

Off topic, Berdych looking very handsome as usual, announcing his retirement from professional tennis.

But he said after the match that he was conserving some energy for the SF and didn’t go all out to beat Rafa. It’s ridiculous that he spent almost three hours on court yet he said he was conserving energy! […]
