I agree. This is, perhaps, the best I’ve ever seen Nadal play in Melbourne. I still think Djokovic has a slight edge, but I wouldn’t put money on it right now.

Zverev is having himself a pity party on court. Reminds me a bit of how he played against Tsitsipas in Toronto. It’s just HORRIFIC form from Zverev who couldn’t beat the AO junior champion at the moment.

Until he shores it up a bit more, his one-handed backhand is going to be vulnerable to Nadal’s forehand, just as Roger’s was for the longest time. I can’t see him getting past Nadal, should they both make the semis.

Wow is right. I know I’ve been sort of pushing the “tsitsipas is fearless” line, but I don’t think anyone can deny that his natural optimism and his belief that he not only could but WOULD win helped him.
