Martin Klizan has saved a total of eight match points in consecutive matches to highlight a miraculous run the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. But that is not what anyone will be talking about heading into Sunday’s title tilt.
In an impressive but also bizarre performance in Saturday’s semifinal showdown against Nicolas Mahut, Klizan fought back from a set and a break down and saved three match points before prevailing 6-7(3), 7-6(7), 6-2 in two hours and 46 minutes. The 43rd-ranked Slovak had previously fought off five match points in the quarters against a red-hot Roberto Bautista Agut.
Words, however, cannot accurately describe what took place in the Klizan-Mahut contest. So…enjoy.

amazing scenes
Thought it was a bit over the top but still pretty funny and amazing how he saved all these match points. Didn’t like how he knocked mahut’s racket out of his hand. Honestly really sad Mahut lost though. Happy for Klizan but really sad Mahut couldn’t get the W.
Mahut was probably kinda pissed off lol.
I have to see the replay of this match later on! I want to see what happened. I have been catching up reading the comments here during the match and it sounds like things got kind of out of hand.
Crossed the line when hitting the racquet outta Mahut’s hand after Mahut won the point. That went too far. A little antics, okay – admit I laughed at the somersault celebration and the rowing reminded me of Forehando Gonzalez.
Mahut came right back to save 1 MP and win his doubles semifinal
