Juan Martin Del Potro was hitting forehands like it was 2009 in the first round of the Australian Open, as he pummeled Adrian Mannarino 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. The Argentine blasted 24 winners at the expense of only eight unforced errors and he did not make a single error in the entire first set.
If you have one hour and 16 minutes of free time (yep, that’s all), my advice to you is to check out the entire performance.
If not, this sequence is absolutely must-see television. This is not a point followed by a replay of the point, folks. These are two points, back-to-back, early in the third set.
