Ross Hutchins is on course to return to tennis next month after sitting out the entire 2013 campaign while successfully battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hutchins is currently in Miami training and practicing with Andy Murray and he is entered in the upcoming Brisbane International with long-time partner Colin Fleming.
“I’ll do all of it,” Hutchins assured, referring to his training regimen with Murray. “Sometimes if we are doing bike sessions, he’ll do a further distance than me but I’ll push myself to the limit. If we are doing running sessions, I’ll try and keep up with him.”
Fleming partnered with 2012 Wimbledon champion Jonathan Marray during Hutchins’ absence. He currently registers at No. 27 in the world in doubles. Hutchins reached a career-high mark of No. 26 in the world in May of 2012.
