Taylor Fritz became the first man to win the Rothesay International title three times when he defeated Max Purcell 6-4, 6-3 in the final on Saturday afternoon. Fritz has triumphed in Eastbourne every other year dating back to 2019 (the event was not held in 2020).

The 13th-ranked American did not get broken a single time all week. It his his eighth ATP tile overall.

“I’m pumped,” Fritz assured. “I always feel like I play well here. I kind of just had that feeling coming into the week as well. I did a great job.”

A more surprising result came at the Mallorca Championships, where Alejandro Tabilo lifted the trophy. The Chilean knocked off Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and 14 minutes. Tabilo saved all three of the break points he faced, so one break in each set was enough for him to get the job done.

It is the second title of the 27-year-old’s career and his second of the season. In 2024 alone he now has a title on grass (Mallorca), a title on hard courts (Auckland), and a Masters 1000 semifinal appearance on clay (Rome). Tabilo will break into the top 20 for the first time in his career on Monday at 19th in the rankings.

All four finalists now head to Wimbledon. Both Fritz (vs. Christopher O’Connell) and Tabilo (vs. Dan Evans) don’t have to play until Tuesday. Purcell (vs. Otto Virtanen) and Ofner (vs. Aleksandar Vukic) will kick off their campaigns at the All-England Club on Monday.
