Chris Eubanks was all but out of the Miami Open.
And then he wasn’t.
With Dan Evans leading 6-4 in the third-set tiebreaker in their second-round match on Saturday night, the Brit had a sitting forehand right on top of the net that forced Eubanks to guess which way he was going. Eubanks guessed correctly…and the rest is history.
The American came up with a forehand pass off what should have been a match-ending shot by Evans, after which he saved the next match point with an ace. Four points later, Eubanks emerged victorious.
Next up for the Georgia Tech product–improbably–is Alexander Zverev, who defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets.
wowzer
Yep that was rather epic
!!!!!!!!!
Would love to think Eubanks has a shot vs Zverev
don’t think so unfortunately
