Maxime Cressy set an Open Record on Tuesday.

It’s not one he wants to have.

Cressy double-faulted 25 times–a record for a best-of-three match–during his first-round contest against Felix Auger-Aliassime at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The 25-year-old American, who also struck 27 aces, still managed to be extremely competitive before losing 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-3.

Auger-Aliassime, who had a much cleaner 13 aces and one double-fault, was 1-for-14 on break points. The ninth-ranked Canadian finally broke Cressy at 2-1 in the third set and served it out the rest of the way.
