At no tournament on the entire tennis circuit does doubles bring the thrill more than it does at the BNP Paribas Open. In addition to the Eisenhower Cup mixed doubles exhibition that precedes main-draw competition, the doubles fields on both the men’s and women’s sides are always stacked.
Players simply love taking the doubles court at the Indian Wells tournament. If they lose early in singles, the doubles competition can given them a reason to stick around longer in Tennis Paradise.
Tournament officials announced the initial doubles entry lists for the 2025 edition and they are once again jam-packed with star power.
On the men’s side, Americans Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton, and Alex Michelsen are all signed up. Fritz and Paul are playing together, Shelton-Michelsen is another pairing, and Tiafoe is teaming with Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo. Alexander Zverev is also on the list, partnering good friend and former doubles world No. 1 Marcelo Melo. Grigor Dimitrov will take the court with three-time men’s doubles Grand Slam champion Jean-Julien Rojer.
Mirra Andreeva, Jasmine Paolini, Diana Shnaider, and Sofia Kenin are among the doubles participants on the women’s side. Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, who are the reigning Wimbledon and Australian Open champions, headline the field.
