Federer streams practice, does Q&A session in Dubai

Roger Federer streamed his Thursday practice session in Dubai with Lucas Pouille on his Periscope and Twitter channels. Federer’s practice with the Frenchman has been watched by almost 500,000 viewers and the 35-year-old Swiss also held a Q&A session via Periscope.

“It’s been a lot of fun, going on court, going crazy,” said Federer, who last played a match in the Wimbledon semifinals (lost to Milos Raonic in five sets) before being sidelined by a knee injury. “So excited to be playing again. I have no pain now.

“The first three months (of rehab) were extremely slow. It was all about rehabbing the knee, giving it a sufficient break. I’ve now been in full tennis for about two or three weeks.”
