The Week 13 college football schedule is a bit slim with rivalry week on the immediate horizon, but Saturday’s lineup is headlined by the USC Trojans vs. the Oregon Ducks in Eugene — home of ESPN’s College Gameday. It is a crucial contest in the Big Ten and it might also be a de facto elimination game in the College Football Playoff picture.
Let’s dive into my USC vs. Oregon predictions.

USC vs. Oregon best bet #1: USC +10 (-108)
The Trojans have lost twice on the road this year, but paying a visit to Oregon is nothing new for them in this Big Ten showdown between former Pac-12 foes. Head coach Lincoln Riley’s team also boasts top-25 wins over Michigan (31-13) and Iowa (26-21 this past Saturday). This will probably be a high-scoring affair — one in which USC should be able to keep up. Wide receivers Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane are among the best WR duos in the land. Lemon has made 71 receptions for 1,090 yards and eight touchdowns so far this season. Lane has 40 catches for 585 yards and four TDs. USC has rushed for 1,908 yards and 26 touchdowns on 5.6 yards per attempt in 2025. The Ducks’ defense is worse against the run than against the pass, so this may be a favorable matchup for the Trojans’ offense.
The Ducks have struggled against some of their tougher competition. Head coach Dan Lanning’s squad has faced a trio of opponents that were in the top 25 at the time. Oregon needed double-OT to defeat a Penn State team that turned out to be bad, fell to Indiana 30-20 at home, and just barely beat Iowa 18-16. Youth, inexperience, and injuries have been factors for Oregon. Freshman WR Dakorien Moore (28 receptions, 443 yards, four total TDs) has missed the last two games with a knee problem. Fellow receiver Gary Bryant Jr. missed last week’s game against Minnesota. Defensively, linebacker Devon Jackson was sidelined from the past two outings. The statuses of all three guys are unclear for Saturday.
USC vs. Oregon best player prop bet: King Miller Over 72.5 rushing yards (-114)
USC’s defense is not particularly good. The visitors’ best defense against Oregon’s high-powered attack may actually be their own offense — particularly that side of the ball’s ability to sustain drives and keep the clock moving in an effort to keep the Ducks’ offense on the sideline. In other words, the Trojans should focus on running the football. It’s the way to go about breaking down Oregon’s defense, anyway. After all, the Ducks lead the entire nation in passing defense (127.3 yards allowed per game) and yards per pass attempt allowed (5.1).
Miller has the entire USC backfield to himself these days. Fellow RB Eli Sanders is out for the year and Waymond Jordan is not yet ready to return from an ankle injury. That means Miller is going to get a ton of carries, putting him in good shape to continue his current hot streak. The freshman from Calabasas, Calif. has rushed for at least 83 yards in three straight games and has gained at least 127 yards in three of the last five. For the season as a whole, Miller has carried 99 times for 719 yards (7.3 ypc average) and five touchdowns.
