Andrey Rublev won the Nordea Open for the second time and captured his 18th ATP title overall by beating Luciano Darderi 6-4, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon. A surge of five straight games from 4-4 in the first set through 3-0 in the second propelled Rublev to a one-hour and 17-minute victory.
The 16th-ranked Russian, who previously triumphed in Bastad in 2023, had not lifted an ATP trophy since February of 2025 in Doha.
“I feel great,” Rublev assured. “To be able to win here for a second time is a special feeling. I can’t say much because I just finished my match and I’m still feeling the adrenaline. I’m happy I was able to perform well this week and was able to win the title.”
Elsewhere on the post-Wimbledon clay swing, Daniel Merida became a first-time ATP champion in Umag and Stefanos Tsitsipas got back on the winning track in Gstaad. Merida held off Damir Dzumhur 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 on Saturday evening. Tsitsipas battled past Raphael Collignon 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.
The clay season wraps up this coming week in Estoril and Kitzbuhel, with all three champions getting right back on the court.

is Tsitsi back?
And, does Andrey ever get to a Slam semi?
And, is Tsitsipas going to stick with not being coached by his father? Should have stuck to that decision first time IMO. Every time I think he’s annoying I look his father and find him worse.
