It was a roller-coaster weekend for Lorenzo Musetti, who had to win the Athens title in order to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals. He lost to Novak Djokovic in a three-hour match at the very last hurdle, but Djokovic’s withdrawal immediately thereafter gave Musetti a spot in Turin. The Italian will be happy to play on such a big stage in front of a home crowd, but his outlook is far from good. Musetti has to be running low on energy following a grueling week in Athens, plus he has never been at his best on indoor hard court. He is also just 14-7 during the fall swing.
