There were plenty of bizarre scenes involving the Marton Fucsovics vs. Learner Tien match in the Wimbledon second round on Wednesday afternoon.
Tien was clearly dealing with stomach issues throughout the four-set match, which he ultimately lost 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-3. At one point the 20-year-old asked the chair umpire for some bread, which was delivered in heaps at the next changeover.
It did not improve Tien’s condition, though, and Fucsovics eventually pulled away in the fourth set.
Even though his opponent could barely move during the last two sets and was hunched over between basically every point, Fucsovics celebrated like he had just accomplished some grandiose feat like winning the entire tournament — complete with muscle flexing and rolling around on the ground.
There were obviously no such celebrations for Tien, but he was certainly a winner on Wednesday in the department of post-match meals.
Later that night, the left-hander posted a photo on Instagram from a hospital bed with copious amounts of McDonald’s delicacies in front of him. His menu appeared to include three double-cheeseburgers, 40 chicken McNuggets, a chicken sandwich, french fries, and a McFlurry.
The plain bread may not have cured whatever was ailing Tien, but McDonald’s surely did.

I missed that! Hilarious! Yes, an occasional binge isn’t a problem especially for a really young athlete who’s still maturing physically. It’s what you do 95% of the time that’s really important.
Did Tien eat ALL of this himself or did he have help? Or was that 24 hours’ worth that he stashed and heated up?
