Federer’s summer includes Hall of Fame induction, U.S. Open exhibition

Roger Federer’s trip to Wimbledon is not the only public appearance he will make this summer.

Federer, who was in the Royal Box for the Wimbledon men’s singles semifinals earlier this month, will be inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island on the weekend of August 29. The 20-time Grand Slam champion is also set for the Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro Classic exhibition on Friday, August 28 — for which he will be joined by other legends to be announced.

One month later, Federer will play an exhibition at the U.S. Open along with fellow U.S. Open champions John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick on Tuesday, August 25 in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Swiss triumphed at Flushing Meadows five times, with all of his titles coming in succession (2004-2008).

The event is part of U.S. Open Fan Week along with the mixed doubles championship, which takes place that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
