Monday Night Football in Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season features a showdown in the NFC between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. Both teams had relatively high expectations coming into the season, but they are already on the verge of finding themselves in must-win situations. Dallas is 3-4-1, while Arizona is even farther under .500 at 2-5.
Let’s dive into my Cardinals vs. Cowboys predictions.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys odds
Money line: Cardinals +145 / Cowboys -170
Spread: Cardinals +3 (-105) / Cowboys -3 (-115)
Total: Over 53.5 (-110) / Under 53.5 (-110)
Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys best bet #1: Cowboys -3 (-115)
In much different fashion than last year, the Cowboys are better at home than they are on the road this season. And it’s not even close. Dallas is 2-0-1 at Jerry World compared to 1-4 on the road. The offense is producing a whopping 41 points per game inside its own building. The Cowboys should go crazy once again at the expense of a Cardinals defense that is ranked No. 24 overall in the NFL by Pro Football Focus. Dak Prescott is in MVP form, George Pickens is catching everything, and Javonte Williams is running all over the place. Williams has rushed 124 times for 633 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and eight TDs. He has amassed at least 116 yards in two of the last four games and has been held under 76 yards just twice in the last seven. When opposing defenses have to respect the running game, Prescott can go to work.
As for the Cardinals’ offense, Jacoby Brissett is starting at QB in place of the injured Kyler Murray. Arizona’s passing attack was already borderline inept to begin with, averaging the third-fewest yards per pass attempt in the league. There is not much to like about this matchup for the Cardinals, who are on a five-game winning streak. The Cowboys should win and cover–possibly even with ease.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys best player prop bet: Bam Knight Over 48.5 rushing yards (-114)
Knight has become RB1 in Arizona largely by default. James Conner and Trey Benson are on injured reserve, so Emari Demercado is the only other guy to speak of in the backfield. On sheer volume of work alone, Knight should be able to exceed his rushing yards quota (it’s worth noting that his line is all over the place, playable at 48.5 at FanDuel but all the way up to 53.5 at DraftKings).
The N.C. State product should be able to take advantage of a Dallas defense that is surrendering 146.0 rushing yards per game (No. 29 in the NFL) on 4.9 yards per carry. Knight churned out 57 yards on 14 carries during last week’s loss to Green Bay and he has scored a touchdown in two of the last three outings. More production should be in store for MNF.
