It’s no secret as to why certain players have shown up this week for ATP 250 tournaments in Stockholm, Antwerp, and Almaty. Spots in the Nitto ATP Finals are without question on their minds as the 2024 season winds down.
None of the top six players in the current race are playing, as they have either clinched or at least feel good about their positions. Every single one of the guys between No. 7 and No. 12 is taking the court. So, too, is No. 14 Frances Tiafoe (No. 13 Hubert Hurkacz is out due to injury).
Here are the current standings:
1. Jannik Sinner – 10330 points (clinched)
2. Carlos Alcaraz – 6710 points (clinched)
3. Alexander Zverev – 6215 points (clinched)
4. Daniil Medvedev – 4820 points
5. Taylor Fritz – 4290 points
6. Novak Djokovic – 3910 points
7. Casper Ruud – 3805 points
8. Andrey Rublev – 3580 points
9. Alex de Minaur – 3305 points
10. Grigor Dimitrov – 2935 points
11. Tommy Paul – 2885 points
12. Stefanos Tsitsipas – 2835 points
Rublev, Ruud, Dimitrov, and Paul are in Stockholm. Alex de Minaur and Stefanos Tsitsipas are in Vienna. Tiafoe is the top seed in Almaty. Ruud will go up against Lorenzo Sonego in the Stockholm second round on Wednesday.
