Entry lists for the second week of the 2024 ATP season were released earlier this week. Both the Adelaide International and the ASB Classic in Auckland boast impressive fields in the immediate run-up to the Australian Open.
World No. 13 Tommy Paul is expected to be the top seed in Adelaide, where he is joined by fellow American Sebastian Korda. Last year in Adelaide saw Korda come within one point of a title before he ended up losing to Novak Djokovic. The 2024 Adelaide entry list also features Ugo Humbert, Lorenzo Musetti, Alexander Bublik, and wild card Thanasi Kokkinakis.
An American is also projected to be the No. 1 seed in Auckland (barring any late wild cards to top players), as Ben Shelton leads the way. Shelton’s 2023 foray Down Under was highlighted by a quarterfinal performance at the Aussie Open (lost to Paul). The former NCAA singles champion is followed on the Auckland entry list by Cameron Norrie, Francisco Cerundolo, Adrian Mannarino, 2023 Comeback Player of the Year Jan-Lennard Struff, and 2023 Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award winner Felix Auger-Aliassime. Gael Monfils has a wild card.
Both Adelaide and Auckland begin on Monday, January 8 and conclude on Saturday, January 15. The Australian Open gets underway on Monday, January 15.
Opening-week festivities in 2024 take place in Brisbane and Hong Kong, coinciding with the United Cup team event.

another good week to begin 2024
Yeah
That was a really good final Djoko Korda in Adelaide. Catching up with the odd replay of these matches , not bad to keep the interest going while still taking a break during the off season.
This article lacks depth and analysis. It doesn’t provide any meaningful insights, context, or analysis about the significance of the player fields and how they might impact the upcoming Australian Open.
