Mikael Ymer and Alexei Popyrin will be squaring off in the first round of the Miami Open on Wednesday.
They just faced each other for the first time last week–less than a week ago, to be exact. Popyrin rolled 6-2, 6-2 at the Phoenix Challenger. Conditions should be similar in Miami, so there is little reason to think the tide will turn. Ymer has been struggling for a couple of months now; Popyrin is similarly inconsistent, but he at least made a nice run to the Australian Open third round to begin. This may not be as much of a beatdown as it was in Phoenix, but the Aussie should once again have the edge.
Pick: Popyrin in 2
