  1. Hey Ricky,

You wrote an article on “Pickwise” where you picked Sinner to win The Australian Open. Why would you write two different articles with two different predictions. Come on bro.

      • So why put money on Jannik Sinner when you think Djokovic wins? They are in the same half. Are you looking to hedge if they meet in a SF?

I am not even upset or angry but there are people who tail you. I wouldn’t tail anyone as I would make my own decisions. You should let this forum know that you post straight up picks here BUT have gambling decisions elsewhere. That’s all I’m saying.

        • if you consider +700 to be good value, you bet on it. Even if you don’t “think” it’s going to happen.

if Carlos Alcaraz was +5000 to win the tournament, everyone in the world would bet that. Even if they don’t “think” he is going to win.

        • and to be clear, I don’t have money on Sinner (or on anyone else). I’m just telling readers what I think the best bets to make are.

  2. There is NO value on Sinner at +700 if you think he loses to Djokovic. Honest question: You’re going to bet Joker at -400 to beat Sinner?Say you have 1 Unit on Sinner at $100. That’s TERRIBLE value.

Don’t insult me with the betting question when your value bet makes no sense in this case. If you wagers Medvedev at 11-1 upward, there is value. Your one star play on Dimitrov is your best one. But not worth a full unit.

  3. I know how value works. You’d be betting on Sinner looking to hedge. No value here on the Sinner play. Take the L and provide another example.

Like I said prior, ANYONE who listens to an “expert” on where to put their hard earned money shouldn’t be betting in the first place no matter what sport. The value is on the other side of the draw. Betting against Novak in Australia is like betting against prime Nadal in Roland Garros. Sinner at +700 offers no hedge value. You’re telling people to piss money away OR bet on Joker in the semifinal to make like $75 after your initial Sinner bet.

    • Sinner just beat Djoko 2/3 times in 3 weeks on hard courts. But he is unproven in Grand Slams. Also matches up well with Alcaraz on hard courts. Also, likely better for him to possibly face Djoko before the Final.

Other good values are de Minaur (more when it was 66/1 but now down to 33/1) and Dimitrov 40/1.

  4. You think Sinner has nice value yet you think he is going to lose in the semifinals. So are you letting your one unit play ride on him or are you hedging and betting Djokovic to win if/when they match up?

I don’t think you understand how value plays work. You wrote that Djokovic beats Sinner. If you like Sinner, value plays are half a unit on “Name the Finalists” sinner v Alcaraz or sinner v Medvedev at 13-1 and 32-1. No way in the world Sinner beats Djokovic and Alcaraz/Medvedev back to back in a best of 5.

Maybe I should sit out. Yea right. Yet you have the “accolades” to promote different picks and what you call “value” on multiple sites. Obviously someone thinks you have something because you are writing for them. All the credit in the world to you for the accolades.

Best of luck to you. I hope you consider Medvedev, Rublev, and Zverev at longer odds. Djokovic is -420 to make the Final.

  5. Alcaraz should be dialed in also. He aleays brings it when there’s a lot to play for.

Zverev and Dimitrov are flying but they may have already played their best match.

Hurkacz should be ok because of his style but he may have overplayed, also.

The weather is mild so they might be ok.

  6. Ive gone for Djoko over Alcaraz in the final
(semis Djoko d SInner, Alc d Med)

But my alternative scenario and far more exciting :

    Sinner d Djoko
    Zverev d Dimitrov

    Sinner wins
