Rublev over Novak in 5!!!!
Novak over ADF in 5!!
Sure going to be a fun tournament for him.
I don’t have a lot of faith in Novak ‘s form but these picks are going some.
We just don’t know where Novak is at physically. He has been playing seriously sub par.
If he were the normal Novak for me he would be the fave at RG.
It’s only really Rafa and for a couple of years Domi who stopped him winning.
But I think that Novak has physical issues and is off his game.
I can’t pick Novak this year, amy, and he has not shown the level he needs this time.
Yeah, Ricky and most all American commies and journos pick Fritz and fawn all over him.
And I picked Rublev to beat Novak. Ricky is copying me, lol.
Rublev is higher than he should be picked in all the brackets he is in. I’m a Rublev fan.
Well it really would be the worst if we have to watch the cart horse go deep!
Ricky always picks him to go deep. Had him in the final for USO and AO and to beat Rafa in the semis at wimby. None of these hideous scenarios came to pass..!😀
KK recently beat Rublev on clay…point about KK is last 2 majors he has gone deep. Rublev still has a lot of issues with his net game.
If Novak really is off physically he could lose early maybe to ADF. If he is ok Rublev won’t beat him.
Yet again Ricky has Fritz going far. Didn’t work at the USO. Didn’t work at the AO. Nor did he beat an injured Rafa at wimby.
Can definitely see KK beating Rublev. He may have won Monte Carlo but was lucky in certain respects. Hasn’t done anything else on clay this season. KK seems to have a regular habit of overperforming his ranking at slams now.

Alcaraz is simply not a prohibitive fave in the way the big 3 were. Wouldn’t surprise me to see upsets galore and runs from a player like Struffy. Not saying it will be Struffy but someone like him, or Struffy himself!. Could be multiple upsets.
You can make a case for a number of seeds crashing and burning.
Struffy is quite dangerous this go around. Usually, I don’t pick him far, but this time I have him running into Ruud, a guy I think will be prepared.

Back and forth I go, and if I have to, I use Oddsportal to see what they are calling go there. However, there are a few favorites I pick no matter what – Bublik is one. I like him too much not to pick him. The guy he is playing is someone I don’t know, and neither he nor Bublick will get far.

I can’t get the hilarious pictures of Meddy beating all comers out of my head from Rome. He’s so fast, and his long arms and legs reach the balls and hit them for winners.
But he has not beaten Charlie on clay, has he? No matter, I pick Charlie to win and Med to runner-up.
I only really saw Med beat Rune Elizabeth.
The issue with Rune is his physical fitness. He can’t sustain a high level because he gets tired. So yes Med with his huge wing span can just tire him out.
Med won’t beat Alcaraz. No way.
Rune lost to Med in the final in Rome. Maybe Rune was cramping a little at the end. Immediately I ruled out Rune from winning RG. But I could be wrong. Best of five, I am not so sure about Rune.
God this RG without Rafa blows!

Am worried about Iga feeling pressure. It’s extremely annoying she and Barbora are meeting in the fourth round. 2 of my faves! Iga should win but Barbora has beaten her twice in a row…
I like Barbora a lot. And she does know Iga’s game well. I am okay with Barbora going the distance, but I don’t think she has been playing her best either; add the minister of happiness, and I lost my thought… there was someone else. I’m busy putting the frosting on my ATP bracket. It’s more challenging than I thought.
Iga, she is not playing like last year. It’s possible right to pick Saba or Ryba or someone else. My personal dark horse is Anhelina Kalinina. She made an impression on me watching her in Rome. She beat Kudermetova and everyone along her way but was too tired to beat Rybakina.

Barbora played terrible against Jelena in Rome. What is worrying is her ball toss was out of control and she had no first serve.

I agree that Barbora played terribly in Rome. Jelena Ostapenko, on a roll, is a danger to anyone. But she does not play with the usual aggressive style when she comes up against Iga, Sabalenka, or Rybakina.
Have to agree. Not sure I get why anyone’s so bullish on Fritz, especially in best of 5 and after a lackluster clay season. Sure, Fritz beat Rune earlier this year but that was in the US on hard in best of 3…and before Rune had a pretty great clay season. Doesn’t say much about how they will match at RG (should Fritz even get that far.)
Ruud could easily go out before the quarters. He just lost to Jarry. Is definitely vulnerable for an upset. Has BVZ who beat him recently.Isn’t Struff there? He also beat him.
Struffy is a threat. If he beats Ruud, he will beat Frit/ Rune. Maybe Struffy has earned his stuff and will beat everyone in his path apart from Charlie in the final 😀 I’m serious; I think waiting on that thought for a bit. My salad is calling.

Anyway both Karen and Hubie won. I sort of have a soft spot for Hubie. Would be great to see him win but he won’t. Would also like to see Big Foe or Korda win but not gonna happen. Korda is extremely talented but always gets injured.
