  1. Sorry Roger, I am terrible about following Asian Swing…..It’s just too difficult time-wise.

    But congratzzz to TDC winners
Welshwitch — Tashkent (we were all within 5 points winner to last place…low scoring bracket!)

MJME — Wuhan winner. Again like Tashkent, no one picked the right winner but MJME at least managed to score 36 points.

Congratzz welshwich!! She got the winner right and won!
Chengdu — kpuppy congratz. Again no one managed to pick the right title winner but Kpuppy at least got 19 points lol….Asian Swing is brutal!

Better luck TDC group in Beijing WTA ad ATP and ATP Tokyo!

Who did you pick to win?

I picked Svitolina for Beijing and Rafa for Beijing. Anderson for Tokyo 😀

    • rc my WTA Queen!!…..I picked Caro to win tho i’m not very confident with her…but..boy!.oh boy!…we sure have another surprise today!….Mugu OUT[i expected this actually, what with the taping & lost to Penko last week]…And Stephens too!!…[again i’m half expecting her to lost..she talked about how hard for her to adjust to the condition in China]…Cibby,Angie…all lost!…Another Big Girls slaying day it seems!!hahaha…

Oh!!…I am so sorry rc,i forgot to tell u to pick Lepchenko…she’s always reliable in the 1st @ 2nd Rd…I always pick her if she’s in the draw…

      Oh!!…Thank u for the congrats rc!!….Oh God!!..A little bit embbarassed!…My point is not that impressive!!hahaha…But…awww!…thank u mucho k??

    • No problem RC. Many people do badly with picks on the Asian swing. It is probably because the (Asian) swing is jerky and not smooth!lol

One reason is a lot of players took a big rest (starting with our Sloane Champion!lol) after the last Grand Slam of the year (USO) and were rusted. Many top players are either tired or injured…playing lots of matches. So, all this makes it difficult for us to makes picks correctly. So, top FAV players like dirty sock fall like 9 pins (rd 1 or 2)!lol

Mugs is still injured. She may be tired from playing 2 many matches this summer culminating in her Wimbly win.

RC, I think Magdalena Rybarikova can upset a shaky and partly out-of-form Halep. What do you think?

This can be a 3-setter and over may hit.

RC and other WTA experts what are your picks/leans/analysis for R2 of China Open for today? Even if your picks are wrong please do share your rich knowledge through your analysis. Just cockatoo your analysis…like Stan (Where are you my handsome man?) does sometimes!

Had a good chat with ToMMo recently. ToMMo has been wonderful with his WTA picks and analysis. It helped me a lot.

But he has been inactive yesterday and today. Probably because his FAV Hungarian player baboon (babos) lost in the Tashkent Finals!lol

Below are my WTA picks for R2 of China Open for today!

      1) Andrea Petkovic to lose to Karolina Pliskova

Shuai Zhang to beat Agnieszka Radwanska in 3 sets (or vice-versa)…the mad chinese crowd walking Zhang to victory!

Zhang with better form and home court adv. to win in 3 sets inspite of Advanska’s 3:0 h2H advantage.
      Over to hit.

      2) Christina Mchale to beat Sorana Cirstea – Both are flakey. But lets go with HAIL (not Butler or Xitler) MCHALE(2 win)!LOL

      3) Daria Gavrilova to fight (running @ lightning speed all over the court, a 1000+ times but failing to touch the missiles of CoCo!lol) and lose valiantly to Coco Vandeweghe!lol

      4) Barbora Strycova to beat Julia Goerges (in 2 if Georges follows the “hit or miss” style of Ostapenko! Else in 3)

      5) Petra Kvitova vs Varvara Lepchenko-tough to pick. If Kavitova can play a flawless match, she can beat Lepchenko easily. Kavitova has too much power but does not know how to use it and when. Same with Ostapenko, Julia Georges, Sabine Lisicki, Aryna Sabalenka(all big powerful girls with lot of power but little technique!lol) etc.

But Lepchecko is in superb form for the last couple of weeks. She is very solid and consistent and I favor Lepchecko to win inspite of the 7:0 H2H adv of Kavitova.

Lep’s (chenko), lets make the H2H 7:1 and get your sweet revenge. Do you like it now Lep’s?lol 3 sets and over possible.

      6) Maria Sharapova to lose to the consistency and power of Ekaterina Makarova

      7) Elena Vesnina to beat Ying-Ying Duan’s bell sounding ding ding!lol

      8) Magdalena Rybarikova to beat (Upset!? may or may not happen) Simona Halep

Going with +4 Magda and over. Expecting a close match here.

      9) Lara Arruabarrena to lose to Darya Kasatkina (in 2 tight or 3 sets)

The above is just my pre-eliminary picks and analysis. Final picks, a minute before match starts!lol

WTA experts RC, Mira, ToMMo, Big Al,(even Small Al also!lol) etc., looking forward to your deep WTA analysis and picks! But just be talkative (analytical) like a Cockatoo!Ha,ha,ha…

  2. Ahh, that asian swing… 😀
I missed almost the whole day…my favourite pick for today is only Agnieszka Radwanska. She is getting better and better…only lost to Barty last week who was in such a good form. And that was a close one. Okay Zhang could win a tournament but Aga is another level than the opponents were there. The past is with Radwanska too. She knows what to play against Zhang. And nice odds on the ninja btw. 🙂

    • ToMMo, Aga is the fav but Zhang can upset today. Home dogs are dangerous especially of the chinese kind!lol Like the over and max points on Zhang.

  3. Home crowd always good…but I think the chinese is not as good as many else…one of the worst maybe. :/ They are not as emotional kind. 😀
So the ninja took the win of course 🙂

    • ToMMo , who you got in Aga vs Kasatkina and why?

Leaning on Aga. Aga seems to like playing in Beijing also.

      Can go to 3 sets.

What you think ToMMo and other WTA experts?

  4. Singapore:
    2 Halep
    3 Pliskova
    4 Svitolina
    5 Wozzie
    6 Venus
    7 Ostapenko
and the 8th one is yet to be determined. Konta is sitting at #8 but Caroline Garcia is still in Beijing and getting close at 9th. Kuznetsova is 10th and I wonder if she’ll make a push at the very end like she did last year?? Moscow would be her chance…also 3 tournaments starting Hong Kong, Tianjin, and Linz.

But the race for Zhuhai is even more interesting imo. And that’s all the players between 9 and 20 , potentially.

Barty is at #19 …there’s possibly some interesting competition going to Zhuhai!

  5. Zhuhai Elite player list is what I’m most interested in right now….

Here is the player schedule which is not updated since Oct. 2. My guess is that players not scheduled for tournaments next week and are close to qualifying for either Final will be on the list somewhere…

  6. Does anyone know if Konta is injured? She’s scheduled to play Hong Kong and Moscow but …not sure I trust the schedule

  7. Wow, So Stephens, Konta, and Mladenovic are out of Hong Kong. That means Konta probably out of contention for Singapore too?

    • Stephens’ withdrawal comes on top of British star Johanna Konta (world No 7) and France’s Kristina Mladenovic (No 14). Mladenovic blamed a knee injury, while a badly out-of-form Konta was said to have pulled out as a precaution with a foot problem.

From MA’s article. But the good news is Caro and Aga will still be in Hong kong!

  8. And I see Ostapenko and Cibulkova are going to Linz and then down for Moscow…also Sveta of course will be going to Moscow.

Makarova is going to Hong Kong according to the Eu schedule and these also:
Others vying for the title in Hong Kong next week will be world number 26 Zhang Shuai, who won the Guangzhou Open two weeks ago, former US Open champion Samantha Stosur, world number 21 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, world number 22 Daria Gavrilova, rising Japanese star Naomi Osaka, Chinese number three Wang Qiang and 2014 Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard.

Hong Kong sounds like the hot place to go!
I wonder about Tianjin? Anyone going there?

  9. Thanks again, MA …That helps immensely!

Here’s the copy and pasted info from sportinglife….

We bring you all you need to know about the 2017 WTA Finals which will take place in Singapore from October 22-29.

WTA Finals: Where, when & TV coverage

The season-ending BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore will take place from October 22-29 in Singapore. The matches will be played on an indoor hardcourt at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, art of the city’s sports hub.

The tournament will be televised live in the UK by BT Sport.

    WTA Finals: Who has qualified?

The top eight players in the WTA’s season-long ‘Race to Singapore’ rankings qualify.

Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza was the first to book her place in the eight-woman singles field. She has since been joined by Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, Elina Svitolina, Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and Jelena Ostapenko so only one spot remains up for grabs.

    WTA Finals: Who has qualified?

Briton Johanna Konta is currently in the final qualifying position but two big names who won’t be in Singapore are Serena Williams, currently recovering from giving birth to her daughter, and Maria Sharapova, whose disrupted season, first due to a drugs ban and then injury, means she has not accrued enough points.

Reigning champion Dominika Cibulkova is another who could also miss out.

The final berth will be decided by how the tournaments in Linz, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Moscow and Luxembourg unfold in the coming weeks.

  10. Back to the present – Beijing QF’s

    1. Svitolina my Beijing winner pick has a tough match-up with Garcia. Elina is the odds favorite but it’s not by that much and Garcia, though she’s played a lot of tennis is no doubt motivated to win. Carolie Garcia is very close to qualifying for Singapore for her first time in singles. Could be a hotly contested match.

    2. Halep also has a tough match-up with Kasatkina, who is coming into some good form, maybe, finally? Anyone know? I’ve not been able to watch any matches this week. Both of them have only dropped one set getting this far: Daria to Aga and Simona to Alison Riske, first round. There might be a little pressure on Simona Halep (if she wins Beijing, she will clinch #1 in the Race to Singapore). Daria of course could use the points to climb closer to inside the top 20.

    3. Always dangerous, Barbora Strycova is in the same place as Kasatkina, very close to qualifying for Zhuhai if she can beat her friend, Petra Kvitova 😀 Petra is sitting at #33 in the race to Singapore, so she needs to win the Trophy in Beijing to have a shot at Zhuhai and increase her ranking going into 2018 after a rather horrible year suffering injury after a knife attack in Prague last spring. Go Petra! It would be tough but Petra can do it! (maybe)

    4. Ostapenko v Cirstea. My worry is that Jelena Ostapenko is over-played and she’s made it this far in Beijing by getting a first round bye, then a reasonably solid win over Stosur, and some luck with a retirement from Peng. I feel like Cirstea could have more – indeed her road to the QF has been impressive beating Mona Barthel, Christina McHale, and Karolina Pliskova (6-1, 7-5), which makes me wonder about Karolina!
But which ever way Sorana got that win, it had to give her confidence. I suspect an upset for this match!

  11. Next week — 3 WTA 280’s
Hong Kong and Tianjin brackets open Oct. 7; Linz bracket, Oct. 8

Tianjin player list looks pretty good!

Petra Kvitova, Garcia, Peng, Tsurenko, Vekic, Begu, Haddad Maia, Maria Sakkari * lots of favorites and dark horses 😀

    Hong Kong player list:
Lots of Favorites! Mira Andi posted an article above ^^

    Linz, Austria player list:
Led by Ostapenko, Strycova, Rybarikova, Kontaveit, Cirstea, Giorgi, Siniakova…more…..

    • Haa rc!!…You’re much waited post finally appeared!!….Woohohohoho!!…..Thank u Ricky!!…And many many thank u’s too to rc for your hard work on this!!…C’Mon!Bring it on!!…Ohh!!…i think my back side will get kick pretty hard again this week by our Queen rc & other fellow picker’s!!Hahahaha….Oouuuccchhhh!!!

  12. I would love 2 C Caroline Garcia win Beijing, she has won my heart & won me a lot, i won’t bet on it but i wish her success now & in the future.
I like E. Svitolina and she is an incredible tennis player, this match is tough on paper and i hope it is interesting as well.

I picked Petra Kvitova to defeat Caroline Wozniacki but i wasn’t expecting it to be 6-1, 6-4, maybe 6-4, 6-4 lol!
Petra is leading in the H2H 8-5
and only thrice has their( Petra & Wozniacki) match gone
over 20.5 games, in order words 10 of their 13 meetings have gone under games, that’s bad cos this ladies are good and should hold their serves better.

Ratcliff you said “Elina is the odds favourite” that’s true but do U bet?

I don’t think you do but do U?

    Do U work 4 the C. I. A?

    Are you a spy?

    How are u doing?

    • Stan, why do you think that RC is a spy?

Said good things about the above ladies. But what are your final picks/bets in WTA and ATP today with your colorful deep logic?

I am still analyzing and will post soon. All the 4 QF’s in ATP and WTA are tough to pick and more tough to bet as the MU’s are very close!

You said I would love 2 C Caroline Garcia win Beijing, “she has won my heart…”

…looks like you have one more lady in your life! That is CC. You also have RC in your life…but it seems like War with RC all the time! Why? lol RC is one of the good, free, frank and friendly persons on earth!

      • Awwww Rog!!….You’re truly a gentleman!!..And a lady Protectors!!Thank u Rog for your good words about rc!!….Yeah Rog!!….She’s the most friendly,loving,kind hearted,warm,open minded & a very very smart person too!!…A very rare gems on this earth….

  13. Hello Stanley.

Yes I check odds even tho I don’t bet. I just like to!
I knew the Kvitova/Woz h2h. But Petra has had a bad year by her standards cause of the injury. But I guessed that Woz would go out to Petra in my beijing Bracket.

LOL no I’m not a spy. hahahaha
I’m trying to stay awake and watch tennis a bit. How are you?

    • I am alright!
I can’t sleep not because of tennis just bad habit, i just watched all the replays in Japan(ATP) a few minutes ago.

U love tennis a lot Ratcliff and i wish i can steal your TV/laptop/Phone 4 a month lol!

Petra Kvitova is a strong.woman, when i see some of her highlights/matches this year i 4get she had an injury, she is really brave & humble and i know she will play better next year.

About that spy thing, i think U work 4 the C. I. A lol, they are good at hiding their identity.

      Enjoy the matches Ok!

  14. RC, thanks for your great thoughts & picks on today’s QF.

I am really short of time, hence will give my quick picks only. But I have made great and lengthy analysis. No time to post!

I am leaning on the French Goddess(Garcia), Romanian queen (Halep) (more consistent & intelligent than Aga) and the Goddess of Power (Kavitova) and Cirstea (more consistent) to win.

    • Heeeee…y my French Goddess(Caroline Garcia. Need to sing Sweet Caroline song now!lol) won after a marathon 3 set match!

3 of the 4 WTA picks won! + 3,5 Cirstea lost by 0.5 points.

Congrtas to RC for posting and getting the same 3 correct picks like me!

Super day today with great wins in both ATP and WTA!

My Biggest wins were on my unique predictions(on daily picks page) of Adriano Mannarino over Yuichi Sugita! Congrats to all who followed!

      and Goffin over Gasssssss……!lol

WTA experts, what are your picks for tomorrow? I just put the 4 SF’ists under the microscope and will let you know soon…who will come out alive!lol

  15. Sorry girls & guys that I wasn’t so active these days…tough days at work and even my birthday was in this week so I was pretty busy. 😀
But I am very happy about that you all were so active here again! 🙂 I’m always glad about it.
So let’s talk about some WTA! 🙂
rc you were right or I was “outdate” 😀 so Ostapenko has already qualified herself. But I still think that she will win against Cirstea.
Btw. I have some feeling about Petra that she might can win this trophy in Beijing. She is pretty good in Asia…she was in last year and now she seems very good this week. 🙂
That’s one of the scripts for this week, but there are plenty.
Today’s greatest match can be Garcia vs Svitolina…After a trophy win players usually can’t win another one next week. And if a match becomes a big fight…Svitolina is maybe the best player nowadays in that. So I am leaning to her this time.
I expect Halep vs Ostapenko and Kvitova vs Svitolina semi-finals. Experience vs young talents…And this week I think experienceb player will be in the final. So Halep vs Kvitova… but it really can be anybody’s game. I really think that Kvitova can win in Beijing. 🙂

    • ToMMo,

Wishing you “Many, Many Happy Returns of the day” though belated!

I also have The Goddess of “Force & Power” Bia or Din aka our Petra Kavitova to win the China Open Title!

Kavitova just has to beat my French Goddess (Caroline Garcia) in the SF and Ostapenko (to beat Halep tomorrow in the other SF if Ostapenko plays a minimal error free game) in the Finale!

  16. Hahahaha…It was nothing ToMMo!….Just an honest wishes for my Bro!….Oh!…don’t forget to make a pick for TDC later k??We miss u this week u naw!!….Good luck to u & other our fellow Picker’s here!!..Vamos!!

    • Heeyy…I didn’t make my picks in the last two weeks in TDC but this week in Beijing I did! 😀 I’m just not as good as I was earlier…this season ending…maybe I’m tired like the players. 😀

    • Stan, yup your baby won and you are in BIG, BIG trouble! Why?

Because now Garcia will ask you to wed her!Ha,ha,ha…

You already have countless babies….now leave the Garcia baby alone!lol

Allow Garcia to recover and focus on beating the Goddess of “Force & Power” Bia or Din aka our Petra Kavitova in the SF’s!lol

in the same Rolex Cellini Replica style as the team replica watches. I find the engraving far more satisfying, but would have liked to see a bit more depth to it. There is a little more branding on the PRC200. Firstly, Burberry handbags the 6 oclock sub-dial sports a basketball image in grey. Additionally, the pushers are edged with red (top) and blue (bottom), Breitling Replica Watches UK which is, to me, the coolest thing.
