“Sums up my last week,” the 21-year-old Australian wrote on Twitter in response to the video.
“I think in all the matches you need to stay focused on yourself,” Coric said when asked about the difference in demeanors between himself and Kyrgios. “I think I did (that) unbelievably [well] today.”
It invoked memories of Marcos Baghdatis’ performance at the 2012 Australian Open, when he broke four rackets in one sitting. Baghdatis lost that match against Stan Wawrinka 7-6(3), 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.
